Spanish national team coach for Gerard Pique
Gerard Pique has the full support of Spanish national team coach Julen Lopetegui.
Pique received criticism and insults from fans of the Spanish national team after supporting a referendum on Catalonia’s independence.
Lopetegui said the insult to Pique was too much.
“I deeply regret the insults of the fans who intended to Pique,” said Lopetegui as reported by BolaSport.com from MundoDeportivo.com.

The man from Spain is asking fans to stop insulting to Pique because it is totally inappropriate to be accepted by the player.
He considered, Pique as one of the players who always try to display the best game.
“I’ve spoken to Pique and he is very motivated to perform,” said the 51-year-old.
“If you do not have a strong desire for the Spanish national team, Pique will not be with us now,” said Lopetegui.
Pique himself has undergone 95 games with the Spanish national team.
He also helped defend Spain while winning the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012.
